Also heard Mr. K.Baishya, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Page No.# 2/2 Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 whereby the petitioner, namely, Abul Kashem has prayed for releasing him on bail after he was arrested on 08.05.2026 in connection with Special NDPS Case No. 31/2026 (arising out of Rowta Police Station case No. 10/2026) registered under Sections 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act. 3. The allegation against the petitioner is that he was found in possession of and transporting an intermediate quantity of suspected ganja weighing 5.240 kg. 4. Charges have already been framed, and the case is now pending for recording of evidence. The petitioner has been in judicial custody for the last 91 days. 5. Having regard to the above, as well as the period of detention undergone by the petitioner, prayer for bail is allowed. Accordingly, it is directed that the petitioner shall be released on a bail bond of ₹50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) only with two sureties each of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Eleka Magistrate/Jurisdictional Court in connection with Special NDPS Case No. 31/2026 (arising out of Rowta Police Station case No. 10/2026) registered under Sections 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act. 6.
