Heard the learned Counsel for the parties. 2. By an order dated 11th November 2025, the Applicant was directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing a PR bond of Rs.15,000/- with one surety in the like amount, and the substantive sentence came to be suspended. 3. The prime reason which weighed with the Court for suspending the sentence and enlarging the Applicant on bail was that the Applicant ARS 1/2 42-IA-1943-2026.DOC had already undergone 7 years and 9 nine months imprisonment as of that date. 4. A period of more than six months has elapsed from the aforesaid order dated 11th November 2025, and, yet, the Applicant could not furnish the bail. 5. In these circumstances, having regard to the period of sentence already undergone by the Applicant, to make the order of bail meaningful, this Court considers it appropriate to grant liberty to the Applicant to furnish provisional cash security in the amount of Rs.15,000/- for a period of six weeks. 6. The Applicant is permitted to furnish provisional cash security in lieu of personal surety, in the said amount of Rs.15,000/- within six weeks of his release from the prison. 7. Application disposed.
