The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs: “It is, therefore, prayed that this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue writ of mandamus to the Respondent No.1 to 3 to comply with the RVSF Rules, 2021 with regard to compensation of impounding vehicle by enforcement agency and further to issue Certificate of Deposit (COD) of the impounded vehicle belonging to the petitioner/ registered owner in the interest of justice.” 2. Notice in the petition was issued on 11th February, 2026 and was accepted in Court by counsel for respondents no.1 and 2/ GNCTD. 3. Counsel appearing for respondents no.1 and 2/ GNCTD submits that the compensation amount in terms of the Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping Facility Rules, 2021 (‘RVSF Rules, 2021’) has to be paid This is a digitally signed order. Accordingly, a direction is issued to the respondent no.3 to comply with RVSF Rules, 2021, and pay the due compensation to the petitioner due for the scrapping of the petitioner’s vehicle. Further, a direction is issued to the respondent no.3 to issue a Certificate of Deposit (CoD) for the impounded vehicle to the petitioner. 6.
