This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 has been filed by the Petitioner herein/A.6, to quash the proceedings in Crime No.1 of 2023 of Governorpet Police Station, Vijayawada, registered against the Petitioner herein/A.6 and other accused, for the offences punishable under Section 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 read with 120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. 2, Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the Assistant Public Prosecutor for respondent-State. 3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner/A.6 submits that, though the case was registered in the year 2023, police have not completed the investigation and filed the charge sheet. 4.
In view of the fact that the crime is of the year 2023, the Police are directed to complete the investigation in the subject crime and file report, as contemplated under Section 173 (2) CrPC, as expeditiously as possible, without taking any coercive steps as against the Petitioner/A.6 herein. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.
