The instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the notification dated 29.07.2003 (Annexure P-1), or in the alternative, direct the respondents to make the notification dated 31.10.2006 (Annexure P-2) applicable from 31.07.2003.

Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that the present petition is squarely covered by the judgment of this Court in CWP-15554- 2007 titled as ‘Gian Chand and others Vs. State of Punjab and others’ and other connected cases, decided on 23.12.2025, therefore, the present petition is disposed of in the same terms as in CWP-15554-2007 (supra).
