By virtue of the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus, for grant of parole for a period of four weeks. 2. Issue notice. Learned ASC accepts notice. At the outset, he has handed over a copy of letter dated 23.06.2026 sent by Deputy Secretary (Home) to the concerned Jail Superintendent by virtue whereof, the proposal qua the petitioner for grant of parole has been rejected, primarily on the ground of the overall jail conduct of the petitioner being “Unsatisfactory”. The said letter is taken on record. 3. In view of the aforesaid, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition with liberty to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.
