The petitioner by way of instituting the present writ petition has prayed for a direction upon the respondents for authorizing to him an amount of Rs. 3,85,014/- being contractual dues receivable by the petitioner for the works executed by him for the respondents. 3. The petitioner was awarded the following contracts by the Assam Electronics Development Corporation Ltd.:- (a) Repairing & renovation works (civil, sanitary & toilet block) at District Computer Center, Dhemaji, dated 21-09-2019, amounting to Rs. 14,67,093/- (Rupees Fourteen Lakh Sixty Seven Thousand Ninety Three). (b) Renovation electrical works at District Computer Center, Dhemaji dated 10-10- 2019, amounting to Rs. 5,92,878/- (Rupees Five Lakh Ninety Two Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy Eight). (c) Repairing & renovation works (civil, sanitary & toilet block) at District Computer Center, Lakhimpur district dated 12-12-2019, amounting to Rs. 12,17,683/- (Rupees Twelve Lakh Seventeen Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Three). (d) Renovation electrical works at District Computer Center, Lakhimpur district dated 20-01-2020, amounting to Rs. 5,87,149/- (Rupees Five Lakh Eighty Seven Thousand One Hundred Forty Nine). 4. The petitioner contends that in pursuance to the said work orders, he had executed the works involved and raised his bills in the matter. Further, the petitioner was, from time to time, being paid his contractual dues. However, an amount of Rs. 3,85,014/- Page No.# 3/4 (Rupees Three Lakh Eighty Five Thousand Fourteen) is projected to be pending, as on date. 5. Being aggrieved by the delay occasioning in clearing his contractual dues, the petitioner has instituted the present writ petition. 6. Mr. D.K. Jain, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the contractual dues claimed by the petitioner is admitted to by the respondents and accordingly, a direction is called upon to be issued to the respondents for release of the said amount within a timeframe to be specified by this Court. 7. Mr. K.L. Gupta, learned counsel for the respondent by referring to the additional affidavit filed in the matter on 20-08-2026, has submitted that the claim of the petitioner for being authorized his contractual dues amounting to Rs. 3,85,014/- (Rupees Three Lakh Eighty Five Thousand Fourteen) is admitted to by the respondent/ Corporation and the said amount would be paid to the petitioner within a period of 02 (two) months. 8. I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and have also perused the materials available on record. 9. The respondent authorities having admitted to the pending contractual dues of the petitioner amounting to Rs. 3,85,014/- (Rupees Three Lakh Eighty Five Thousand Fourteen), further adjudication in the matter would not be called for. 10. Accordingly, the respondent authorities are directed to pay to the petitioner his admitted contractual due amounting to Rs. 3,85,014/- (Rupees Three Lakh Eighty Five Thousand Fourteen) within a period of 02 (two) months from the date of receipt of a Page No.# 4/4 certified copy of this order. 11.
