(1) This Act may be called the Whistle Blowers Protection Act, [2014]. (2) It extends to the whole of India [x x x x]. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in any provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision. Substituted by Act 17 of 2015, sec. 3 and Second Sch., for "2011" (w.e.f. 13/05/2015). Omitted by Act 34 of 2019. Prior to the omission it reads "except the State of Jammu and Kashmir"
