(1) The Chief Executive Officer shall in each year, before such date as may be prescribed, place before the Anchalik Parishad the budget, which shall be prepared by the Finance and Establishment Committee, showing the probable receipts and expenditure of the following year and the Anchalik Parishad shall adopt the budget with such modifications as it may think fit. (2) The budget so adopted shall be submitted to the Zilla Parishad by such date as may be prescribed. (3) The Zilla Parishad may, within such time as may be prescribed, either approve of the budget or return it to the Anchalik Parishad for such modifications as it may direct. On such modifications being made the budget shall be resubmitted within such time as may be prescribed for approval to the Zilla Parishad. If the approval of the Zilla Parishad is not received by the Anchalik Parishad by the last date of the year, the budget shall be deemed to be approved by the Zilla Parishad.
