(1) When the President or the Vice-President •is removed under section 57, the vacancy so caused shall be filled by election in such manner as may be prescribed. (2) A President or a Vice-President elected under sub- section (1) shall hold office for the remainder of the term of his predecessor in office. (3) A President or a Vice-President removed from office under sub-section (1) of section 57 on any of the grounds enumerated in clauses (a), (b) and (c) of that sub-section and clauses (a) and (c) of sub-section (4) of section. 60 shall not be eligible for election or appointment as a member of, or for election or appointment to any office in, any of the bodies constituted under this Act for a period of four years from the date of such removal.
