(1) A. member elected under the proviso to sub- office. clause (a) of clause (1) of section 52 shall hold office for a period of four years or for so long as he continues to be a member of the Anchal Panchayat or until a new Praclhan of the Anchal Panchayat is elected, whichever is earlier. (2) A member elected under sub-clause (b) of clause (1) of section 52 shall, subject to the provisions of section 53, hold office for a period of four years or for so long as he continues to be the Adhyaksha, whichever is earlier. (3) A member appointed under the second proviso to sub- clause (b) of clause (1) of section 52 shall vacate office immediately on the establishment of an Anchal Panchayat for the area and the election of a Pradhan thereof. (4) A member appointed under the first proviso to sub- clause (b) of clause (1) of section 52 and a member appointed under sub-clause (d) of clause (1) of that section shall bold office for a period of four years: Provided that such a member shall continue to hold office on the expiry of the said term until another member is appointed by the State Government in his place. (5) A member co-opted under sub-clause (e) of clause (1) of section 52 shall hold office for a period of four years. (6) If any Pradhan or if any person referred to in sub- clauses (d) and (e) of clause (1) of section 52 be disqualified to be a member, the vacancy shall be filled in such manner and for such period as may be prescribed.
