(1) The State Government shall, by notification, establish for each block, with effect from such date as may be specified in the notification, an Anchalik Parishad bear- ing the name of the block. (2) An Anchalik Parishad shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal and may by its corporate name sue and be sued.
