CHAPTER I. Preliminary. 1.. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Wild Short Life Preservation Act, 1959. title, extent and (2) It extends to the whole of West Bengal. - commence- (3) It shall come into force in such areas as the State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette appoint and different dates may be appointed for different areas.
