(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Ware- houses Act, 1963. (2) It extends to the whole of West Bengal. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. (4) It shall not apply to warehouses established under any other State law for the time being in force in this respect or under the Sea Customs Act, 1878, the Inland Bonded Warehouses Act, 1896 and the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944.
