(1) The State Government shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, establish a Council to be called the West Bengal Veterinary Council. (2) The Council shall be a body corporate, with power to acquire, hold and transfer property, movable or immov- able, and shall have perpetual succession and a, common seal, and shall, by the said name, sue and be sued.
