The Commissioner, the Special Commissioner, the Additional Commisioner, or any authority authorised by the Commissioner, may require, by notice, any bank, post office, railway, Controller and certifying authority as defined under the Information Technology Act, 2000, website holder, transporter, carrier, shipper, owner or lessee of a warehouse, or clearing, forwarding or transporting agent to furnish to him any information or statement useful for, or relevant to, any proceedings under this Act or to produce before him any accounts, registers, documents or other records as may be necessary for this Act.
