(1) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Calcutta Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 1972, by section 142 of this Act, the Calcutta Metropolitan Development Authority constituted under that Act shall be known as the Calcutta Metropolitan Development Authority under this Act and it shall be deemed to be a Development Authority for the purposes of this Act. (2) All the provisions of this Act relating to a Development Authority shall, if not inconsistent with the provisions in this Chapter, apply to the Calcutta Metropolitan Development Authority.
