(1) The Calcutta Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 1972, and the Calcutta Metropolitan Planning Area (Use and Development of Land) Control Act, 1956 shall stand repealed with effect from the date on which the Calcutta Metropolitan Planning Area as referred to in section 16 of this Act is declared to be a Planning Area under sub-section (1) of section 9 of this Act. (2) The Durgapur (Development and Control of Building Operations) Act, 1958 shall stand repealed with effect from the date on which the Durgapur area as defined in that Act is declared to be a Planning Area under sub-section (1) of section 9 of this Act. (3) Notwithstanding repeal of the Acts referred to in sub-sections (1) and (2), anything done or any action taken under the provisions of the said Acts or rules or regulations made thereunder, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the provisions of this Act; and all such rules or regulations shall, if not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, continue in force till rules or regulations are made under this Act.
