(1) The State Government may, by notification, appoint one or Controller. more officers as Controller or Controllers and Additional Controllers and Deputy Controllers to perform all the functions of a Controller under this Act in respect of any area or areas to be specified in the notification. (2) A Controller may be an officer belonging to the Indian Administrative Service, West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) or West Bengal Higher Judicial Service. (3) An Additional Controller and Deputy Controller may be an officer belonging to the Indian Administrative Service, West Bengal Civil Service (Executive), West Bengal Higher Judicial Service or West Bengal Subordinate Land Revenue Service, Grade-I.
