Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this Act or in any other law for the time being in force, and subject to-the provisions of the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1976, it shall be competent for 33 of 1976. the State Government to make use of, or settle with any person or authority, any land or structure vested in, or resumed by, the State under this Act for public purpose on such terms and conditions, and in such manner, as may be prescribed. 302 The West Bengal Thika Tenancy (Acquisition and Regulation) Act, 2001.
