(1) The State Government may make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Act. The rules framed under the Calcutta Thika and other Tenancies and Land (Acquisition and Regulation) Act, 1981 may continue as rules under this Act to the extent they are not repugnant to and transgressive of the provisions of this Act. (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for all or any of the matters which may be, or is required to be, prescribed or made by rules.
