(1) The Academic Council of the University shall consist of the following members, namely:— (i) the Vice-Chancellor of the University, ex officio, who shall be the Chairman of the Academic Council; (ii) two academicians or professionals to be nominated by the Board; (iii) two external academicians or professionals in the area of higher education, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (iv) two Deans of the University, by rotation to be nominated by the Vice- Chancellor; (v) one Professor from each discipline of the University, by rotation to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (vi) the Administrator of the University; (vii) the Registrar who shall be the non-member Secretary of the council.
