(1) The President shall be responsible for carrying out and giving effect to the decisions of the Council and of any committee or body constituted by it under this Act. (2) The President shall— (a) exercise general supervision over the Secretary and the members of the staff appointed by the Council and shall post and transfer the members of the staff; (b) sanction all claims of travelling allowance; and (c) take such other action, not inconsistent with any decision of the Council, as he may consider necessary for the proper functioning of the Council under this Act. 8 THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, APRIL 28, 2005 [PART III The West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training Act, 2005.
