(1) If the person committing an offence punishable Offenceaby under this Act is a company, the company and every director, "Paul"' manager, secretary or agent of the company, unless such director, managers secretary or agent proves that the offence was committed without his knowledge or consent, shall be deemed to be guilty of the offence and shall be liable to be proceeded against and punished. 12 Tho West Bengal Standards of Weights ;and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1958: [West Ben.
