The Commission may, for the purpose of discharging its functions of selecting persons for direct recruitment to the posts and services in the State Government establishments as prescribed under sub-section (1) of section 6, levy such fees as may be provided for by regulations: Provided that the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall be exempted from paying such examination fees.
