(1) The State Government shall select the Developer, in such manner and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed, for the purpose ofdevelopment of the area or areas, identified as a Special Economic Zone. (2) Without prejudice to the foregoing provisions of sub-section (1), any Developer selected prior to coming into force of this Act, shall be deemed to have been validly selected under this Act.
