(1) The State Government may, by notification, nominate such officers, as it may think fit, to assist the Development Commissioner for effectively carrying out the powers and functions conferred on him by or under this Act. • (2) The officers to be nominated under sub-section (1), shall be the officers from amongst the following departments of the State Government, namely: — Finance Department; Department of Commerce and Industries; Department of Labour; Department ofMunicipal Affairs; Department of Cottage and Small-Scale Industries; Department ofHousing; Department of Power; Department of Environment; Department of Urban Development. Explanation .— For the purpose of this sub-section, the expression "departments" shall include directorates, if any, under such departments. (3) The State Government may, by notification, nominate such officers from departments other than those specified in sub-section (2), as it may think fit, for the purpose of assisting the Development Commissioner.
