(1) For the purpose of carrying out any of the provisions of this Act obtain and the rules or schemes framed thereunder, the State Government or any information. prescribed authority may, by order, require any person to furnish such information in his possession within such time, not being earlier than thirty days from the date of issue of the order, as may be specified in the order. Power of entry. (2) Every person required under sub-section (1) to furnish any information shall be deemed to be legally bound to do so within the meaning of section 176 of the Indian Penal Code. 45 of 1860.
