Subject to the provisions of any other law for the time being in force, the State Government may, by rules, provide for— (a) sanction by the Corporation of specific rights of way in the sub-soil of public and private streets in Siliguri for different public utilities including electric supply, telephone and other telecommunication facilities, gas pipes, water-supply, 330 The Siliguri Municipal Corporation Act, 1990. XXX of 1990.] (Part VI.—Civic Services.—Chapter XII.—Streets and Public Places.—Sections 190, 191.) sewerage and drainage, pedestrian sub-ways, shopping places, warehousing facilities and the apparatus and appurtenances related thereto provided by the State Government, any statutory body or any licensee under any law; (b) levy of any fee or charges permissible under law; (c) furnishing to the Corporation of maps, drawings and statements which shall enable it to compile and maintain the precise records of the placements of the underground utilities in Siliguri.
