Subject to the approval of the State Government, the Corporation may, if necessary, make the municipal drains communicate with, or empty into, any public drain, lake, canal or water course outside the municipal limit of the Corporation and may, in doing so, exercise throughout the line outside the municipal limit of the Corporation along which the municipal drains are to run all the powers exercisable by it under this Act if the said municipal drains were to run entirely within the municipal limit of the Corporation.
