(1) In every shop or establishment, the shop- keeper or employer concerned shall, for the purposes of this Act, maintain and keep a register of employees in the prescribed form and such other registers, records and documents, and display such notices as may be prescribed and produce them on demand by the Inspector. (2) The register of employees maintained and kept under sub-section (1) may, from time to time, be inspected and signed by the persons employed in the shop or establishment.
