Aftersec~ion 18, thc following seclion shall beinserted, namely:- "SpeciaI I8A. TheState Government may alsoappoinl, Prcsidcncy Myiru;lv, for such terrn it may. by special or general order, direct, any person as a Presidency Magisirale for the performance of all or any ofthe iunctions of a Presidency Magistrate excepting (hose rclating 10 inquiry inlo. or cognizance, investigation or Irid of any offence. Such Presidency Magisrrales shall be called Special Presidency Magis~rates.".
