In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in Defini- the subject or context,— tions. (a) "the Act" means the West Bengal Secondary Education Act, 1950; (b) "the Board" means the Board of Secondary Educa- tion established under the Act; (c) "Committee" or ".Sub-Committee" means any Com- mittee or Sub-Committee constituted under the Act, or any rule, by-law or regulation made thereunder; (d) "the Executive Council" means the Executive Council referred to in section 20 of the Act; ' (e) "the President" means the President of the Board.
