The State Government may, by order in writing specifying the reasons thereof, suspend the execution of any resolution or order of the Board, the Executive Council or any Committee constituted under this Act and prohibit the doing of any act which purports to be done or to be intended to be done under this Act, if the State Govern- ment after consulting the Advocate General of West Bengal, is of opinion that such resolution, order or act is in excess of the powers conferred by or under this Act upon the Board, the Executive Council or such Committee, as the case may be.
