(1) This Act may be called the Rehabilitation of Displaced Persons and Eviction of Persons in Unauthorised Occupation of Land (Continuance of Provisions) Act, 1964. (2) It extends to the whole of West Bengal. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force immediately on the expiry of the Rehabilitation of Displaced Persons and Eviction of Persons in Unauthorised Occupation of bind Act, 1951 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act).
