(1) The prescribed authority shall, unless registration is refused under section 5, direct the name and the particulars of persons be entered in the register maintained for the purpose and shall issue a certificate of registration for enlistment to such person in the prescribed form. (2) Certificate issued under sub-section (1) shall be valid for the period specified therein or for such extended period as the prescribed authority may think fit to allow in any case.
