[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, of the 27th April, 1950.] An Act to enhance the penalties provided by law for the punishment of certain off ences relating to wagering or betting upon a horse-race. WHEREAS it is expedient to enhance the penalties pro- vided by law for the punishment of certain offences relating to agering or betting upon a horse-race ; It is hereby enacted as follows:-
