The Provincial Government may, if it. thinks it ex- pedient, direct the Collector to partition off that part of an estate which comprises a vested forest info a separate estate; and the demand in respect of land-revenue and cess for which the original estate was liable shall on such partition be assessed upon and divided between the two separate estates so formed respectively iu such manner as the Provincial Government may direct.
