The State Government may, at the request of the Chairman of a Primary School Council, acquire, under the provisions of any law for acquisition of land for the time being in force, any land required for the purpose of this Act. Explanation.—"Land" in this section has the same meaning as in clause (bl) of section 2 of the West Bengal Land (Requisition and Acquisition) Act, 1948.
