(1) A member of the Board may resign his office by giving notice in writing to the President and when such resignation is accepted by the Board such member shall be deemed to have vacated his seat. (2) The State Government may, by notification, remove any member if he— (a) refuses to act or becomes incapable of acting as a member of . the Board, or (h) acts in a manner prejudicial to the interests of the Board, or (c) without obtaining the consent of the President is absent from four consecutive meetings of the Board: Provided that before such removal the member concerned shall be given an opportunity of being heard.
