(1) No landlord shall make the purchase by any person of any furniture in any permises a condition for the grant, renewal or continuance of the tenancy of such premises. (2) No person shall publish, orcause to be published, in any newspaper or otherwise any advertisement— (a) for the purchase by any person of any furniture, or (b) for the payment of any sum exceeding one month's rent in advance, except with the previous permission of the Controller, as a condition for the letting of any premises.
