(1) On the expiry of the West Bengal Premises saving. (Requisition and Eviction) Ordinance, 1947, the provisions of section 8 of the Bengal General Clauses Act, 1899, shall apply as if it were an enactment then repealed by a West Bengal Act. (2) Any rules, orders and appointments made or any- thing done or any action taken or any proceedings com- menced under any of the provisions of the said Ordinance shall continue in force in so far as they are consistent with this Act and shall be deemed to have been made, done, taken or commenced under the corresponding provision of this Act.
