Except with the special sanction of the State Gov- ernment, no Ayurvedic practitioner, who is not registered under this Act, shall be competent to hold any appointment as a physician, or other medical officer in an Ayurvedic hos- pital, asylum, infirmary, dispensary or lying-in-hospital, which is supported wholly or partially by grants made by the State Government, the Parishad or a local authority, or any Ayurvedic educational institution which is so supported or which is affiliated under clause (1) of section 19 of this Act.
