In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (1) "General Council and State Faculty of Ayurvedic Medicine, West Bengal" means the General Council and State Faculty of Ayurvedic Medi- cine, West Bengal, established by resolution No. 315 Medical, dated 2nd February, 1937 of the Government of Bengal as subsequently amended ; (2) "Member" means a member of the Perished; - (3) "Parishad" means the Paschim Banga Ayurved Parishad constituted under section 3; (4) "prescr.,ibed" means prescribed by rules; (5) "President" means the President of the Parishad; (6) "Register" means the Register of Ayurvedic practi- tioners maintained under this Act; (7) "registered Ayurvedic practitioner" means an Ayurvedic practitioner registered under the pro- visions of this Act; (8) "Registrar" means the Registrar of the Perished; (9) "regulations" means regulations made by the Perished under this Act ; (10) "rules" means rules made by the ,State Government under this Act; (Li) "Vice-President" means the Vice-President of the Parishad.
