(1) The State Government may transfer any institution under a Gram Panchayat subject to such conditions, limitations and restrictions as may be agreed upon. (2) When any institution is transferred under sub-section (1), persons employed by the State Government shall with effect from the date of such transfer be deemed to be employed by the Zilla Parishad or Panchayat Samiti or Gram Panchayat to which such institution is transferred, on terms and conditions, not being less advantageous than what they were entitled to immediately before such transfer. 356 The West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973.
