(1) The Finance Officer shall be a whole-time officer of the University. He shall be appointed by the Executive Council on the recommendation of a committee consisting of the Vice-Chancellor as Chariman, a nominee of the Chancellor, two nominees of the Executive Council and a nominee of the State Government. (2) The Finance Officer may resign his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Vice-Chancellor. (3) If the Finance Officer is for any reason temporarily unable to exercise the powers or perform the duties of his office, the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Executive Council may appoint a person temporarily for a total period not exceeding six months to exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Finance Officer.
