No expenditure for any work or for purchase of any materials, as may be necessary for the purposes of this Act, shall be made without the approval of the Corporation at a meeting, if the estimated cost of such work or purchase of such materials exceeds rupees ten thousand_but does not exceed rupees twenty-five lakhs: Provided that where the estimated cost of such work or purchase of such materials exceeds rupees twenty-five lakhs, approval of the State Government shall be obtained.
