(1) No person shall throw, empty or otherwise discharge into any water- source, channel or municipal drain within or outside the Corporation area any matter, refuse, trade effluent, or waste so as to cause pollution, health hazard or nuisance prejudicial to environment. Right of owner or occupier of premises to empty his house-drain into municipal drain. Connection with municipal drain not to be made except in conformity with section 226. (2) Subject to the provisions of any other law for the time being in force, the Corporation may, by regulations, provide for treatment standard to be maintained before discharge of any industrial waste or foul water or refuse into any river, water- source, channel, or municipal drainage and sewerage system.
