(1) No water-pipe shall be laid in a drain or on the surface of an open channel or house gully or within twenty feet of a cesspool or in any position where the water- pipe is likely to be injured or the water therein is likely to be polluted, and no well or tank and, except with the permission of the Commissioner in writing, no cistern shall be constructed within twenty feet of a latrine or cesspool. 90 THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, MAY 29, 2008 [PART III The West Bengal Municipal Corporation Act, 2006.
