Section 189

(1) The Commissioner, or any person appointed by the State Government under section 190, may, for the purpose of inspection or repair or execution of any work in, upon, or in connection with, any waterworks, at all reasonable times,— (a) enter upon, and pass through, any land within or outside the Corporation area, adjacent to, or in the vicinity of, such waterworks, in whomsoever such land may vest; (b) convey through any such land all necessary materials, tools and implements. (2) While exercising any of the powers under sub-section (1), as little damage as possible shall be done, and compensation for any damage in course of exercise of any such power shall be paid-- (a) by the Corporation, if such damage is done by the Commissioner, or (b) by the State Government, if such damage is done by the person appointed by the State Government under section 190.
